NOS clutch disks

Post by whc03grady » Sat May 14, 2011 8:45 am

Are really old new clutch disks okay? I mean, NOS disks. I found a couple (here and here) much cheaper than new Sachs.
I'm just curious if sitting around does anything bad to them, like do they get brittle or anything.

They'll be OK. They are fabricated to withstand red-hot temperatures, sitting around at room temps I don't think would break them down in any appreciable way.

It wasn't so much their having sat at room temperature that made me wonder, but their having sat period for 25, 30 years.
210mm of clutchy goodness is on its way!
