New Bus Owner Broke Down- Ocala FL

Post by WaterDawg » Fri Jan 17, 2014 8:20 pm

Hey Guys,
Juts got a call for help.
Fellow bus owner found a new bus owner broke down in Ocala FL

Engine is running, but he's loosing oil like crazy.

I'm thinking a missing drain plug or something pierced his oil filter.

Anyone in the area can help him out?

Hit me up with a PM

I'm on the phone with the bus owner. They can see a lot of oil on the left side of the engine where there is a tube with a wire coming out of it. Looking at the pictures they sent me its the part under the distributor. They also said the timing seems to be off. Related???

They are stuck in Ocala, FL

well thts the oil pressure sensor (green Light).
Where is his leak coming from? it doesnt look like a ton from the sensor...
If he does have a huge leak there I would replace the sensor to see if that fixes it. If not he could have a cracked engine block from the sensor being overtightened.

Impossible to really diagnose without more info.
Hope he figures it out.

Sounds like oil pressure switch as Zabo mentioned, or an oil cooler seal breech if it is actually coming out from under the fan housing. If you talk to them after you read this, stress that the replacement oil pressure switch must be a taper thread and not over-tightened. (Type 4 switches are straight thread, do not let parts supplier screw up)

You know that site hasn't been updated in 4 years.
Not sure what happened to them.

Just found the New List I was thinking about

I think Colin needs a list, I mean, he's not busy this time of year (ducking) :bootyshake:

There's a guy, Miker, listed as being just north of Gainesville. Perhaps he can help.
