Can you pull a type 4 head w/o dropping the engine?

Stripped #3 spark plug hole. I can handle that but my question is: Can you pull the 3/4 head without dropping the engine? I did it on the 1/2 side years ago but 3/4 seems like it might not work.

Randy, remember my 2002 engine overhaul in the Glendale CA parking lot? Tore it down in the car, bench pressed engine off and back on the transaxle? I have promoted engine teardowns in the car many times. It is a decent mobile engine stand . . . if you are out of the rain.

Pulling the left head off requires loosening the fan housing and pulling it backwards enough to clear the left rear tin from the lip of the fan housing. Can't we tap a timesert into the spark plug hole without removing the head?
