Hi guys. two liter bus engine. Trying to get the old crank seal out and it just won't budge. Any secrets out there?
I've pried the heck out of the seal and just not any movement at all I'm afraid of damaging the crank.

Re: oil seal
The inside of that seal, nearest the crank, is where the metal of the seal ends. A flat cap with the cap on the outside. Get a screwdriver in there and there and there and there and work it out. Opposite side to opposite side. Slowly. Gently. It'll tell you when you can then rip the puppy out of there.
There is a dandy device I resorted to on my transmission, that could make it a one second job, but I've lost the photo.

Re: oil seal
I wouldn't be without that tool. $16 bucks or so off the shelf at AZ or whatever.
