I have one of the VDO braided stainless oil pressure sending unit extensions, which they no longer make, and have been very happy with it. Now I see they are reproducing them here

It's a really nice way to tie in the much larger sending unit for the VDO and DD gauges. I mounted mine against the firewall and put in a tee fitting so I can have the stock sending unit as well.

Re: Oil Pressure Extension Kit
Another option is to use this little kit (although it only comes with a 12" long hose). Not long enough to get it to reach the fire wall, and I bought an 18" grease gun hose from NAPA for $6. It also allows me to mount a mechanical oil pressure gauge at the firewall.
