I have a set of KYBs that need to be put on. The top bolts for the front are shot. I got one of them out. The other....... will not move, I have been hitting it with PB and tapping. I am thinking of the cut and pound it out method. What do you think? Use more patience and persistence...?

Sometimes a little heat helps.

If you are not allowed to have a real torch (like me), a MAPP gas +O2 tank at Lowes for $50 is not a bad deal. Heat....PB blaster....hammer.

Repeat as needed.

Did you get the inner nut off, and the outer bolt won't leave the hole? Or is the nut refusing to budge?

Got er! Gave up and cut the end of the bolt off with a sawzall then hit it gently with a three pound sledge and kept applying PB. Noticed that the nut on the back had a millimeter of wiggle room so cut off another chunk of the bolt to make it shorter. Then I took some 80 grit and smoothed the bolt. I took the nut off and put on about an inch of washers and used the nut to pull the bolt through until it became easy. Then... I cut the back side of the bolt to make it short enough to be pounded through. A punch finished it off. Probably made it harder that I should have but.... in the end I am happy.
Thanks for the tip Randy, I may look into that when I can spend some $$.
