Neal, I'll see if I can find the camera and take pics of the BFG l's I just got .. or you can come to the Lab on Monday and see 'em.

Pikshurz. Only the front right now, have to wait for payday to order a pair for the rear. Sidewalls are thick & beefy on these, must be 1/4" or more.

What size are they? Where did you order them? They do look nice! Do they hum on the highway?

Isn't that waht Randy in Maine runs? I thought they were discontinued. 68 is a good price, IIRC. How do you like them so far?

Those are LT195/75R14, load range D. I haven't noticed any humming but A) I've only been driving on them for a week, and B) I've got loud resonating harmonics at freeway/highway speeds making it hard to hear much of anything...

Ordered them from tirecrawler.com because they had the best price I could find at $107 each, but anyplace that sells BFGoodrich should be able to get them .. even Costco (who wanted $143).

Underestimate much? The other pair showed up yesterday, and sidewalls are more like 1/2" thick. Just gotta get 'em mounted now...

I will be getting these as well soon (loved them on my jeeps). Maybe worth noting that my local Les Schwab quoted me like $465 mounted/balanced for 4. Accounting for shipping costs that was cheaper than anything I could find online.

Get that in writing so you can hold them to that price -- somehow the prices wind up higher once the tires are installed if you don't. Just ask ruckman101...

Yep, get the quote on paper and Schwab will honor the lower price, at least they used to.

Gots them on Bertha and so far really like. Studded the back two and I'm ready for snow and ice.

How are the Goodrich's on the road? Noisy? Rough? I need something that has a little more grip on anything resembling a slick surface unlike the Hankooks. They're flat out horrible in snow or mud.

Just got them balanced today. They seemed a bit bumpier than the Hankooks, but it may have been the balance. I'll let you know. And I agree. I wasn't impressed with the Hankooks in the snow. But these did very well on the icy slick snowy cold drive up to Cheryle's last Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Haven't noticed them being all that noisy, either.

The balance helped. Smoother. Still a stiffer tire than the Hankooks. Not all that noisy, but I've heard they can grow noisier with wear.

I've heard that too. I'll take noise over sliding-off-the-muddy/snowy-road any day of the week.
