Greetings. On the spindle(s) there is a spacer that slides to the hilt.
Are these available as a new part? Perhaps they are sourced from the boneyards only?

Re: Disc spacers
That spacer you speak of, is it the replaceable wheel bearing seal surface?regis101 wrote:Greetings. On the spindle(s) there is a spacer that slides to the hilt.

Do you need to replace it?

I have found out that they are a slip-on type spacer/ring.
When I was trying to be kewl and lower the Westy with Nates spindles, I had to remove the spacer(s) from the OE spindles. I did chip a small piece from one of them. It didn't break. Was thinking that If I get another set, I'd install them on the OE's just to have them.
Need to find an exploded view of the spindle so as to properly identify the part in question. I'll dig into the Bentley.
Ah, here we go. Section 2, page 8. Has two pictures of the front spindle and brake assembly.
The lower pic is of the disc set-up. Item #24 is called a spacer ring. This is what I seek.
