The first recording on my new HD-28V, playing a Bruce Cockburn cover I worked out last week in front of people for the first time. So a couple of firsts there.

Hey, nice playing Meyer! BTW, is that your LX1 in the lower left corner? I was just watching the video and my ever-astute 5-year-old daughter wandered over and within a few seconds pointed at it and said "hey, that looks like your guitar" (which of course it does since, as you may recall, I recently purchased the same one on your suggestion!). Kids these days.

Thanks! Good eye on that girl, but the scale is a little off. That there is an acoustic bass. Belongs to a friend of mine, but I can't remember what it is. Knowing him, its a Taylor.

Ah, of course. Maybe it's just the camera angle but it fooled me too. I guess it's the lack of a pick guard and the color that makes it look kind of similar.

2-part tutorial I did this evening, by request. Looks like I ended up being one of the first ones on the various boards to figure out Bruce Cockburn's 'Different When It Comes To You':

I took a quick feedback video of work I have been doing on Michael Hedges' 'Ritual Dance'. I have a ways to go on it, but al of the pieces are there. Learning some of these techniques has really cheese-gratered my fingers...

A few new ones. I get progressively drunker and overworked as they go on. I bring the sound system and run the board for what it getting to be a pretty big showcase. I start loading equipment in the car at around 5:30 after working all day and often don't get home and unloaded until 1:00am.

And much later (and slightly sloshed), my spin on Leo Kottke's "Last Steam Engine Train", sped up to absurdity:
