I've moved again

For those of you not on FB, I have relocated to Scappoose, OR on the mighty Columbia.
I'm living on 120 acres of mountainous forest for the Vedanta Society of Portland's retreat. I'll be the winter caretaker, trying not to go nuts all alone.
23000 NW Gilkison Rd. Scappoose
This is the first time I've lived alone in the country, a great experiment! So far it has been a week, I love it mostly but it gets lonesome. I don't miss the Portland traffic and constant gentrification though.
4 moves in 1 year...I have had enough for a while. 2017 has been personally monumental.

Four moves in a year? Yikes! you must travel light....at least if you didn't before, I'm sure are now after moving 4 times!

P.S. I still have a roll of film in my camera (yes, I did say roll.... it is a 35mm camera from my youth) from about 7 years ago that I promised you pictures from ...

Been wondering how you've been! Is this the place that you built the wilderness trail for last summer? I've been looking for land out that direction myself. Welches area too. Gonna be out of this house sometime this spring it appears. PM me your new number. I want to come see the new digs.

Looks like a piece of paradise out there. You are also close to the largest Tucker sno cat collection on earth. Keep your eyes peeled for them out there.

I do miss Portland, believe it or not. And all my good friends that have tolerated me for so long. And my kid most of all, who is no longer allowed to stay overnight here due to weird Indian religious traditions. That about seals it for me, so I'm looking for work in Portland. All my bitching and I'm going back home.
Lots of trauma, drama, tears and healing, worse than a Hallmark special. Ready for a new year.
Mama Bus has been a trooper, she moved everything I owned, and now hauls firewood and my sorry ass back to town. 15 years we've been together this February. My rock.

i gotta thank you for exposing me to your weird rad hobby. don’t think i’ll pick one up anytime soon but it is so cool to watch you and the Scappoose folks romp around on instagram.

The snocat thing has been insanely fun. It was a wild hair that has turned out much better than I expected. We need a little more snow or I'll have to start posting shots of last year. Riders are welcome.
