So I may have done did a thing...

'73 International Scout II
It has a rebuilt International 345 V8, 2 barrel carb, and a simple Chrysler 3-speed auto. This one also has the apparently rare single-speed transfer box, so there is no reduction for extra off-road oomf. It's ~3700lb's, about as long as a Bug, and sucks gas like no tomorrow. Averages 11MPG.

Bought it about a month ago, and I've been going through it here and there. At this point there's still a lot of front axle work to do, and I will also have to do a transmission rebuild.

Found it on the Tuscon craigslist and got at it price. There was a waiting list for it, and the guy was nice enough to offer it to me at posted price instead of opening a bidding war.

Paint is a combo of semi-OK can job and original paint, what really helps is that the body and underpinning are in fabulous condition... Well worth it VS having to do bodywork.

Drives like a drunken duck... Camber/caster is incorrect on it.

Nice! I was an early Bronco guy before I was a VW guy.
