Especially if you keep them in the box on your shelf for another ten years. Then I bet you could sell them for $130. :pirate:

There's some "generic" point sets on rockauto for under $5 right now, and many of them could well be re-boxed Bosch .. the Beck-Arnley ones in particular.

But that's if you want points to USE, not just to sit on a shelf looking pretty in an OEVW box...

If my grandfather had heard stories like this, he would have thought we all were indeed morons. What? You'd buy some points at that price BECAUSE they were in an old box? And, he would have been absolutely correct. Some things go way too far.

Still I'll bet they are better quality than modern Bosch. I've seen some funky points lately, stamped all screwy and misaligned.

Just wait. Won't be long before the vintage OE box is worth more than the contents...

My grandfather would have said: "What, you bought points?"

This, from a guy who owns 300 odd pre-1950 electrical fans, -just because something is old, doesn't mean it's worth a rat's ass.

Given that the concept of money itself is no more than an illusion which we have collectively agreed to perceive as reality, it shouldn't be surprising that valuation of individual objects can vary widely and have no root in logical reasoning.

There, does that qualify me for the hippy-bus drivers club? :geek:
