Didn't happen last year, but will this, up to a six week late fall through October road trip excursion in Bertha bus. Nothing more definite planned at this point other than heading to four corners area and beyond, culminating in LA with hopes of nabbing some tickets to see the LA Philharmonic orchestra perform Frank Zappa's 200 Motels under the direction of Conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen and then working our way back up the coast to return to the home front.
So how many folks here can I drop in and say hello to? Gotta get busy and start looking at planning the route.

Go torture Chris (aircooledchris) in Eureka and Chris (sailorkh) in Alameda, maybe seeing if you can find Ritter in Healdsburg on the way.
Do it as a beer tour down the CA coast-ish area. Lost Coast in Eureka, North Coast in Ft Bragg, Anderson Valley in Boonville, Bear Republic in Healdsburg, Russian River Brewing in (misleadingly) Santa Rosa, Lagunitas in Petaluma...

absolutely stop here along the way. Six Rivers brewing, Redwood Curtain (where you've been), Eel River brewing and Mad River brewing can all be added to that list (and within 20 minutes of here.)

Re: Epic (for us) Bertha Trek Plan
Hey Neal. Feel welcome to swing through Livermore if it's not too far out of your way. The local brewing industry is small, consisting mainly of Altamont Beer Works, but if you can hang with the winers, the number of wineries around here is staggering. Livermore's wine industry predates Napa's by about a century, and they tend to not be as snooty here.
