German Supply?

Post by Scylla » Wed Apr 20, 2011 8:06 am

Hi all - does anyone here know if germansupply.com is on holiday? Scott emailed me back to let me know he has the s-boot I need and I've been emailing him back for a few days to get it ordered, but heard nothing back. He normally responds very quickly. It's getting quite urgent.

Cheers

Damian

I did a trade/swap with him recently and there were some painfully long waits in-between responses. I sent items to him in mid January, and received the return package a week ago. Certainly not what I had come to expect either.... nor do I believe that this is the 'norm' under regular circumstances.

If you want, I have a nice S-boot I could sell ya in the interim. PM if your interested and can't wait for Scott to respond.

Getting ready to order some parts, wondering if the wait time has improved since this thread was started.

I think Scott may have been moving his shop a short while ago. That may have taken up a lot of his time.

I talked to him just the other day. The Canadian postal workers are on strike so only 'essential' mail is being carried. He can ship FedEx and UPS, but now has to fill out all the customs stuff himself, which adds a lot of time.

Thanks for sharing that info, makes a lot of sense now.

Unfortunately your order probably got stranded inside our postal system which has been on strike for about 2 weeks or maybe a bit more. The good news is that the strike was ended today so it shouldn't be too much longer.

I received a part from last week. And got it quicker than anything ever before frm Scott. Strange.

Could it be because he used courier instead of mail?

I feel better knowing what's going on, and knowing the strike is over makes me even happier.
