It's a long haul for you out to NE though...maybe I should bug one of the goons who are closer? It's only 10 minutes of work.

Should have the rest of the topend back together tonite.
Mkayyyyyyyyy. Put me down for tomorrow night if you can't get any of the other slack-jawed locals to help out.

Ok, the gracious and dapper Tristessa has offered to help tonight after work. It's sorta on the way home for him, so it makes it easier.
Next time! Or just for beer and nonsense, any time.

Not going to make it anytime soon, finally (FINALLY!!) got back to work at 6:30 from a trip to the Hawthorne store to get more snow shovels. Funny, I left here at 3:45ish, got there around 4:15-4:20, left there around 4:45. There were times near Grand & Morrison where I got to move a whole TWO FEET when the light turned green...

Yeah it's pretty bad out there. It was a hell of a bike ride home! Big honkin flakes blowing past my glasses and into my eyes. I was coated in snow. Just like the old days back on th' prairie.

I had my fingers crossed though, because I know you're both crazy. Apparently not crazy enuff.

Well, everything is back together except for the main seal, crank pulley, and flywheel. Any time someone can come over it would be much appreciated. I'd even host a hootnanny, you know how I like those. Beer and music and mechannickckkckking.

It's cool how the engine looks kinda beat up now, a bit of grease and dust, the paint has varnished, scratches and scrapes. Looks tough.

I hope this damn oil seal works out. It should run a lot better with the heads at a decent torque.........................lawd lawd.

Si.

Cheryle said Bertha was pulling to the passenger tire side on the drive home from the Lab. Gonna give a test spin, and maybe make it over. I'm so ready to borrow a scale for pistons and rods.

Hey I don't have that scale any more, Stephan must have it. But you're still welcome to pop by!

The scale is at Mi Casa, not with Stephan. How soon do you need it? I could bring it to work Saturday or to the Lab on Monday...

See y'all this evening.

The sooner the better, I guess. Hmmm, you're off work tomorrow and obviously for the holiday, Friday. Drat.

I'm off work the next couple of days, yes. But I'll be at the Hawthorne store tomorrow morning (at least) and Friday installing new light fixtures...

Yaay for under-the-table money. :cyclopsani:
