The AFC manual has all the diagnostics and resistance specs. PM me if you or anyone else needs a copy...

Here are a couple of links which expand some on the Bentley manual. The Probst "Blue FI Book" (also from Bentley) also has some good information if you have $30 burning a hole in your pocket.

Normally I wouldn't wake up a discussion that's been quiet for 7 years, but I'll make an exception in this case. I believe my original problem from 2008 (hesitation, bucking, stalling) has finally been resolved by replacing the Temp Sensor II. The sensor has always tested OK, however after replacing it I was able to drive 100 mile test without a hint of trouble. Here's an update I recently posted about the fix in another section after Colin's visit with my bus this week...

Yes, the bus is running smooth. I plan to take another drive on Sunday. Thanks!

I hate reading old troubleshooting threads that don't have a conclusion, I had to follow up on this one.

I peeked at your bus in another post and it looks like a pretty nice ride. I hope it is still running well!!

Thanks Randy, I appreciate it. The bus is still running better than ever. I drove another 150 miles last Sunday to attend a VW car show. The only problem I have right now is an oil leak but I'll worry about that later.

It is as original as the BobD, a sibling with barely more miles on its odometer.
