I saw that, but I figured the guy was out in the boonies. It's nice to know that there are two yards in SC that have a load of air cooled. I have heard nothing but great stuff about this guy Aubrey. I met a 75 year old man on my trip in St. George. He has 9 Autostick bugs in mint shape, and 1 Westy. He helped me out when I had some engine issues near there. Quite a guy...we keep in touch.

Here's what seems to be a decent 1970 deluxe transporter. Hard to tell with one photo. This is in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

"runs" $7,500.00 . . .
Unimagineable for us who paid $7,500.00 for an original Porsche 911 in 1983.

Why are crucial things suddenly either
1. expensive
2. shoddy
Rent, groceries, cost of living, up up up
No one has received a raise in years
Is this just a West Coast thing? I doubt it...
And then side by side, freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee spending among the nicely clad. And someone in London will spend 8k for that bus.

Cat is out the bag, Hambi, the plutocracy is coming in for the kill. If you look at the TPP coming down the pike, corporations will have the right to sue nations for damaging their expected profits. Phillip Morris is currently suing something like 9 nations for passing health laws that damaged their sales. Michael Bloomberg had to help Uraguay pay its legal bills!! Who knew that the tin foil hats all howling about One World Government were correct but howling up the wrong moon, it isn't "big government" that is the problem, it is the new multinational corporate ownership of the legislative process that is the problem.
By our apathy, we have brought it upon ourselves.

Yeah, but those 7,500 1983 dollars would buy two and-a-third of these buses in 2015. 1983 $ and 2015 $ are apples and oranges. (Though the $17,674.85 y'all paid for an original 911 still was a good deal.)

Interesting analytics and thank you.
However, please note that the average low income in 1983 was $11,400,
today it is $9,300.00, in adjusted for today dollars!
So I worked for 8 months to pay for that Porsche.
Today, I'd work for 9 months to pay for a claptrap VW bus.
Oh, and today, Mitt Romney would work for a 1/2 second to pay for sixteen Porsche 930s
with coco floor mats.

If this is the actual bus and it's in as good of shape all around as that corner this is a smoking deal. Smells like a scam to me though.

Billings, of all places. Looks like he has a ton of parts. Rough to see these suppliers closing up shop. Google map showed this at a tire shop on that address corner:
