That was awesome poetry, man, awesome! The truth was in there, oh yes, unmasked truth.
I do like my tachometer, though. But all those temp and pressure gauges.... nah.... As the signs out west say, "Let 'er drift, Let 'em cool"

The tach is something I am going to do as well...and since I had one laying around I don't have to fork over any bread for one.vwlover77 wrote:That was awesome poetry, man, awesome! The truth was in there, oh yes, unmasked truth.

Forgive me for my ignorance:
To wire in a tach.....red wire to switched power, black wire to ground, and green wire to the side of the dizzy were the condensor plugs in? (don't laugh)

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Grumbbbble what the hell do you need a tach for? Ok I can see the value of oil temp/chd but you're not exactly driving NASCAR over there!
Bhahhh kids these days. In my day we IMAGINED we were driving in a car.

Just to hear you grumble of course!hambone wrote:Grumbbbble what the hell do you need a tach for?
Don't worry, no holes required to install and I want it to get used to what I will hear in the back. Plus, I am not used to RGB's and I will be changing tire size. For the first little while I really want to get to know this engine and what it is doing. I may ditch it after I get up to snuff.
Did you take your medicine today?

Re: Installing a VDO Oil Pressure Gauge
Hambone. Just came across your poem; wise words my friend, great way to start off a Sunday morning and my third day with a temperature gauge. It does give me an idea what going on back yonder, but i also feel like a teenager with their phone; constantly looking' at the thing. Thanks for the words!
