No start.....easy fix :-)

So I back in to a parking spot at the drug store, go in make my purchases, come back out, go to start my bus, and it starts, then sputters out immediately. Try again, same thing. I go out to check the engine compartment out, but immediately notice that my tailpipe is smashed into the grass (there was a berm just beyond the parking curb). I try to push the bus away, but it is on too steep of an incline. Go back in, put the trans in first and hit the starter to crawl forward just enough. Then got a screwdriver out to remove THIS:

Glad is was an easy fix!

I love easy fixes. My last one was to tighten the loose connections on my starter. Hasn't been an issue since.

Where do you think I learned that starter solution?? You did the same thing in my garage during my very first IAC mission!

My takeway from all this? Never use your VW Bus as a soil core sampler
