Good luck with the sale. You did some good work on that bus.

Interesting that Craigslist isn't helping much. I wonder if CL attracts lower end buyers? I'm also surprised it hasn't just sold yet. It's a great looking bus and this time of year seems prime time to sell. There's a lot of junk on CL and yours is a nice bus and a tin top camper to boot. Someone should pick it up.

I look forward to seeing how it does. Your ad stands alone for its honesty, and the car does too. Gawd that sucks to see your car sitting there at the threshold of the big bad world with all of its bad taste and ignorance ready to smite your lovely piece of history. If you find a non-local buyer who promises to care for it as-is (no "doode, I am going to SLAM that b**ch, it'll rock!") do tell them that I will be honored to visit them anywhere in the country and help them establish a good working relationship with that car . . . :cyclopsani:

Thanks Colin. I hope it flows along to a good life.
Chrome came with the engine, it works good enough. Also has the small fan shroud.

No interest after a week? Am I missing something? This is not a rusted out wreck, and I've fixed almost everything...maybe it's the holiday weekend.
What do you guys think about Ebay for selling cars?

I sold a '78 Winnabago Brave on Ebay once. Ended up getting more than twice what I expected for it. The guy flew up from the Bay area and drove it back. It was a very smooth transaction but I can imagine it going sideways real easy too. You would have to be very specific in the stipulations of the sale and decide if you were willing to go through the hassle of shipping if it came down to it. Never know, it could end up in a bidding war and get way more than what you're asking. Nice thing about it is you can set your reserve price and let it ride.

That is good to know, thanks. I know I am asking a lot but it is an unusually solid Bus for an early Bay, and I really did build it for the mountains.
It will go and life will go too.
I am planning on being in the Mt. Hood mountains for JULY when this goes through! I'm not posting any camps until then. Hopefully someone can join me out there.

Have you camped at Tilly Jane yet? I'd reccomend it if not. Awesome hiking and if you're lucky someone might be at Cloud Cap and give you a tour.

Yeah, CL is the place for wheelers and dealers looking for a cheap ride. Especially in Portland, people will be looking for a steal.

The big car sales sites could be a better place to post the bus, as everyone knows of them. They may require a few bucks to post stuff though.

Went to Tilly Jane 20 years ago, and last August with my kid. She loved it! Dusty and a bit busy but really interesting place. Last time I was there was before the big fire. A shame the MHNF lets so much history fade away.

I do understand the bit of nose damage is a detractor. It is hard to determine what someone will pay, even though I know it's a good Bus. Factory grease pencil on the frame? How the hell did that survive???
From what I've seen on CL and Samba I am in the ballpark for price. I guess I can lower it a little bit.

I think you should stick with the price a little longer.
