Considering rental, not sure yet. I sure don't want to let it goooooooo.........especially after all this hard work.
If I could make a grand a week renting it out it may keep me alive for a couple years. I just don't want it trashed by idiots. But it may be a way to revive a truncated Green Cascadia, with 2 buses and all. We will see.

Man, rental would be hard for me if I put all that work into it. Guess you would just have to come to terms that it's going to get a little bit abused with some people. I'd be looking for a decent amount of security deposit that only got returned after verifying no negligent damage was done upon return.

Had one foot out the door last nite to the Lab...and the cold rain made me say screw it. As soon as I get some new tires I'm gonna get this thing insured and on the road. Thanks for the good wishes I appreciate it.
Just fired it up after sitting a couple weeks, runs pretty well. But with all the missing thermostat and preheat it does take longer to warm up.

Bah. Other underlying issues. "Cold rain" was just a veneer to hide underlying hesitations. If he had really been committed, he would have braved the elements, sans umbrella. Umbrellas are for the recently relocated not yet natives.

But to be fair, I've used the same lame veneer as an excuse to bail more than once. Ooo, look, Gilligan is on!

New tires, on newly painted wheels (black on the inside), new wheel cylinders etc. new shocks holy crap the ol gal is gettin classy.
So what is the deal with the Pertronix SVDA? So many failures right out of the box but people love them. $125 it may be worth taking a chance to ditch the 009.
I have to replace the speedo but she's almost ready for a trip. Still haven't found a cursed rear cushion (mustard yellow), may have to build one. Curtain rods? Anyone have some to sell?
ramble on ham
Now who wants to come help me bleed brakes? Oh yeah.
I am filthy those brakes were horrible. Days of work.

I know your post for help bleeding the brakes is 3 weeks old, but give me a call. I'm always looking for an excuse to get out of the shop!

Oh yeah that's all done with Tony , but thank you for the offer. Just make it out to a camp this summer.

I hesitate to say that Mama2 appears to be woods-ready....still some details like curtains to attend to, but it is almost a Campmobile again. Even the speedometer is correct! I am proud of my work even though it is cosmetically imperfect in places. It has been a hell of a job getting a seemingly-woods-ready bus to actually work right - there must be a huge latitude before things actually fail.
I am supposed to drive it up to Port Townsend WA on Monday to repay a loan that allowed me to get the tires and wheels, I just don't want to trust an unknown bus for revenue passengers, thinking of taking Bus1 instead. So close! It's just not quite soup yet.
