We need to paint a nice Vanagon mural on that partition, Vanagon quatro-DOKAs climbing hills and doing outdoor stuff, with an air-brushed sky and a bear somewhere. Show your Dodge Ram friends and make them sick with envy.

at least $20,000.00, you say?
That's pretty good. I paid $6,500.00 for this and it is now worth $75,000.00.

in the motor today after pulling a bad oil pump and replacing it with the one from the spare Canadian engine I scored I must admit we took him out for a quick drive! :bounce:
wow that 1.9TD really moves that light truck let me tell you! :thumbleft:
Now he's back in the bay for a full teardown to make sure "Alles Klau" down the road.
Some one told me once now is a good time to wax the engine compartment right?? :geek:

Pics, mostly for Gypsie I guess...

ooooh! mural sounds nice! give the passengers in the back part of the cab to look at to take
their minds off the fact that the 2 windows back there are don't roll down or have any sliding ability as they cook in the in the Florida heat while the front passengers enjoy the standard vanagon window and swivel "A" pillar windows.

Also Colin, I should have specified that I am not a Syncro nut and this is 2WD model and thats really what I wanted anyway since I'm going to flat or "dinghy" tow him quite it bit behind the motorhome on family trips, Imagine that at the campsite, "Honey, I'm going out for some supplies to the local Walmart!
The locals in the aforementioned Dodge Power-Ram diesels won't know what to think when they see that parked next to them. (at least not till they see the mural through the super hot fixed windows.... :cyclopsani:
and BTW with the 7 day complimentary resort stay we provided to the Canadians I paid ALOT less that that sir!

Ok, first rebuild of the 1.9TD didn't go so well with alot of clacking and smoking at start up, SO......

we took the best bits of the 2 engines it came with and sent them to the machine shop and voila!
a completely new engine (so to speak) with new cylinders and every pump replaced also with new parts!

also in the words of our beloved VW muse, "now would be a good time to wax the engined compartment"
that I have read in previous postings, I decided to degrease the whole hard to reach under the pickup bed area and
paint it "ford blue" with engine enamel. This should be a close color to the "light blue" my 4 year old son has requested
for the exterior color.
