This Friday. Sure would like to have one of these sitting next to the Westy. If only I would have known what these things would be worth 20 years ago.

Nope. I imagine I would prefer the Baywindow for comfort and handling. But for investment purposes...

Any ideas on the next hot collector car? Something still relatively affordable these days. Bays and Vanagons aren't getting any cheaper.
I sold my '73 Bronco right before their value took off. I could have probably doubled my money by holding onto it for another 3-5 years.

I've heard that the prices on BMW E30 (80's? 3 series) are on the rise. Getting one that hasn't been beat to death is the hard part.

Oh I already sold you a superior BMW Investment, leaving me with this old man pillowplushsoggycorneringbengaynipponeseboringmobile.
Try to buy a BMW from a devoted woman owner. Always much tighter driveline and usually a cleaner interior.

Ah, another auction. Should be interesting...
@ Colin: Good to know, I've been eying some of the wagons for a while now.

Yep, I drove several of them mostly a 64 until it was killed by rear ended a car and a 67 samba that suffered the same fate. Tin cans and I wouldn't want one these days and much prefer my bay. Driving my Ghia is enough flashback to the "way things were".
