This is what we did today. Under the color is a coat of bedliner then 2 coats of color and 3 of clear. Next is the upper portion of the interior of the roof and then the door jambs.

Just finished the passenger side jambs and the slider jambs. It started to rain so the driver's side will have to wait until Monday.

Looking flawless in the photographs there, Jack. I spied a bug reflecting in the paint.
Hit the edit button on your post and look at how the photograph addresses were condensed and bracked with image tags.

The paint job looks great!
1970 Westfalia bus. Stock 1776 dual port type 1 engine. Restored German Solex 34-3. Restored 205Q distributor, restored to factory appearance engine.

I'm by no means a professional, but have developed my own opinion on single stage vs two stage Urethane:Amskeptic wrote: I do not recommend a two-stage for solid colors. It makes touch-up difficult. Single stage: LOVE the way single stage lays down, flows out very nicely. And if you do get an errant run,drip, or some orange peel, it's easy to wet sand and rub out. As Colin mentioned, very easy to patch/blend. Not as durable as two stage though, more prone to rock chips, fading, etc.
Two stage: Hard as freakin' nails finish. Much more resilient to stone chips, etc. However, it comes at a price; I've always been challenged at getting the clear coat to lay down smoothly; especially on horizontal surfaces; seem to get at least some orange peel. Takes a lot of effort to wet sand and buff out.
If I'm painting something that will be sitting outside most of the time, and I plan on keeping a long time, I will do a two stage. If I'm flipping, or know it will be in a garage I do a single stage.

I will post pics today. However, the sliding door is greased and on. I will put the inside panel on today as well as the jalousy window. The ceiling in the back where the whiteish contact paper was is gone and painted white. The white slats above the formica strips and the off white molding will be in as well. I am looking for anyone with a spare front driver's side door plate and engine hatch lid holding arm for sale as my painter lost those items.
Next, will be the seat stands. Anyone with experience putting them in? I want to hear from you. Thanks.

Just below the window that covers up the sliding door track on a RHD bus?
