Bus all packed up, turn signals decide to stop working

So we are on our way for some camping beyond the cheddar curtain (wisconsin), and my turn signals stop working a block from my house. When i hit the signals, i just get a solid green light on the dash, and no clicks. None of the exterior bulbs light up. Emergency hazards do not work. Headlights and parking lights work fine. I am thinking main flasher, yea?? If so, can i rig it just for the trip with a generic one from a flaps, or do i need a vw specific one. Would like to have turn signals for my trip, but i guess i can go old school.

Thanks, and here's to smart phones!!

It seems my local Napa has them in stock. Not "OG" VW but a replacement none the less. Cheap enough to carry spares too ;)

While looking under the dash for the relay, i noticed that the hazard switch (that i replaced 5-6 years ago) had split in half! I put the two haves back together and presto, i got my flashers back. Perhaps i will try to duct tape it togther to get me home, but WTF is with the switch busting up in 5 years like that? Hope i can dind a quality replacement this time around....

Sorry you don't have nicer weather! It's a nice place to relax when the sun is out.

If you have time and your kids like dorky science stuff, the nuclear energy center has a free museum exhibit that would be a worthy indoor activity to get you out of the rain.
