Let's hope this turns out to be as good as it would seem... and they remember to keep the prices reasonable for "the people's car".

I would guess they will concentrate on the models with water-boxer engines, since that is their bread and butter. But I would be pleasantly surprised if that isn't the case.

Hopeful, but am skeptic (tee hee). Especially the rumblings regarding the new "classic" wing. Skeptical prices will be truly in line with the people and not the monied collector. Hopeful, but like Satchmo, not holding my breath.

LOL!
Actually, probably should have been skeptical, rather than skeptic. Forced it a bit for a very bad play on words. I apologize to everyone.

Me too, but will be cranky if they are gounging or boutique-ing. There are many of us who still use our VWs in a daily sort of way. We should be given honest consideration when they are pricing.

NOS will be expensive, but maybe the NLA parts put back into production will be reasonable (when made in enough quantities to justify the effort.)

I'll just repost here since the other thread is dead:
If true and a good selection of quality ACVW parts that I could actually afford becomes available in the long term...if Volkswagen AG begins to support this market...I may have to rethink never owning another. I love the things, but can't support ownership at this time.
(Besides, I have Jeep to feed and care for now...Just Eats Every Penny...but at least my repairs stick and don't need redone in a week.)
