Need more history of dude's relationship with bus before commitment, and for an entire weekend? $500 seems lowball. Sheesh let's get all republican and bring up legal liability vs trust.

I live in the moment, next weekend, I don't know plans for.

Yeah I'd not trust it either. People just aren't careful.

An older VW is a different beast. There is an inherent skill involved to honor the machine that isn't today's expectations of motoring experience. A respect of capability, not a demand to perform. How many models new today aren't even produced with a manual transmission?

Many moons ago, I recall test driving a beetle with my sister who was shopping, and the owner riding with us commented that he could tell I had driven them before, which I took to mean that some folks just don't get it. No appreciation. No gestalt.

Would have to be a rigorous interview of past history to machine that any red flag would turn me nazi, "No VW rental for you!"

So trying to put gas into the place you put oil would be a no no?

If you own a working VW bus, and want to make some easy cash, let us rent it for a day!
Towards the end of May, i will be celebrating my 18th birthday - not exactly a limo party person,
id rather just drive along the lake michigan coast with my camera and closest friends.

We will buy all the gas needed and rental price is negotiable (200?)
We will leave your vehicle in the same condition we started with, no messes. Careful drivers, don't plan on any accidents, but if there were, we would cover them.
will sign a contract

(must be in safe, working condition, we will not accept liability for vehicle failures)

thanks!

It's for the Sasquatch Music Fest, so you'd need tickets.
