Picture Request

Post by Bookwus » Wed Aug 19, 2009 9:01 pm

Hiya All,

I need a fairly well detailed picture of the gas tank, fuel filler hose, venting hosing, and expansion tank. Basically, the rear quarter passenger side of the trunk.

I have what is proving to be quite a rare 1970 VW (at least for US export). It has none of the M26 system either in the trunk or in the rear of the car. And no, this is not the work of some misguided PO. It's quite easy to tell the M26 was never instralled on this car.

In any event, I do need a pretty well detailed shot of how a 1970 gas tank/trunk was set-up to move loose hydrocarbons to the rear of the car.

Anybody out there in IACland have a 70 Bug they can shoot a picture of?

don't have a 70 to take pictures of. maybe you already have access to this and it wasn't helpful, but this is what the VW ETKA software shows for that system:

Hiya Chris,

Geez, I think that's exactly what I need.

But I can't quite make out the details in the picture. Any chance of making that sucker bigger?

Hey Barry,

Is that Mr. 411 guy calling the kettle black? :bom:
