Twice now I have had people tell me while I've been out driving Gretchen Ghia, that it was the first time they had actually seen one.
I didn't think they were that scarce.

Re: Twice Now
They are getting more scarce by the day. We oldsters just can't quite believe that such a ubiquitous presence in our youths has had had its day.ruckman101 wrote:Twice now I have had people tell me while I've been out driving Gretchen Ghia, that it was the first time they had actually seen one.

Re: Twice Now
Seems as if every other car on the road back then was a VW. I loved the sound when two beetles passed- 4 pea shooters in tune that sounded like an angy horde of bees!!!Amskeptic wrote: We oldsters just can't quite believe that such a ubiquitous presence in our youths has had had its day.
