Twice Now

Post by ruckman101 » Sat Nov 15, 2008 7:42 pm

Twice now I have had people tell me while I've been out driving Gretchen Ghia, that it was the first time they had actually seen one.

I didn't think they were that scarce.

Someone slowed down and yelled at me, "Get your f**king animals off of the street." People are crazy. I take it all in stride.

They are getting more scarce by the day. We oldsters just can't quite believe that such a ubiquitous presence in our youths has had had its day.

Seems as if every other car on the road back then was a VW. I loved the sound when two beetles passed- 4 pea shooters in tune that sounded like an angy horde of bees!!!
