Bug body go karts....

Post by werksberg » Sun Aug 31, 2008 1:18 pm

My former plastics job training classes used to make these but I still have the molds and templates.....

And yes, I'm 6' + tall and drive it!

Or maybe a wall hanging (I might try and make some of these for Christmas as I'll hinged the hood for a toy or dirty clothes hamper....?):

That is cool looking. I too can now own a Split Beetle!
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Thanks!

The kart body actually is styled after a '58 - '64 (?) with a large rear window except when I made the PC window (lots of that scrap laying around here...) I painted it to look like split window as I was building this for body drop to challenge Jessie to a drag race...but a long story.... :pukeleft:

I just got 3x of these bodies delivered today....

Yellow, red and a blue one...

No prices yet, maybe later today.

I'll be also listing the extras for them too:
rubber edging
rubber running board cut outs
PC (polycarbonate / Lexan) windows

I still want to (but I doubt if i have the time before Christmas unless really paid to do so...) to cut one up into for a front hood opening dirty clothes hamper with a trap door (chassis with wheels and T bars too)

Or the rear engine deck lid hinge open for a toy storage box......
