What is up with folks, (Volks...) with ads often accompanied with a picture for a "Popes Nose" license plate light! I find 90% of these are NOT Popes Nose lights, as only the Split Window Beetle had a "Popes Nose". They are always saying that the next generation light, found on oval and early square window Beetles up till 1963 are the Nose; while we don't have a cute name for these lights, the inaccuracy of this identification once again "annoys" this purist. The Popes Nose looks like a Charles DeGaulle Nose! The next generation is much more a Grace Kelly Nose???
Sorry for the ranting and raving; I just wish all the Volks selling Volks Parts would ID them correctly!
