The Wave 1981 film

Post by steve74baywin » Wed May 25, 2011 12:25 pm

Has anyone ever heard of this or seen it?
Cults: The Wave
46:12 - 4 years ago
1981 - Based on the real experience of a high school class in Palo Alto, CA in April 1967, whose teacher wanted to explain the rise of the Nazi party to his students.
I just watched it, never heard of it before today.

Hmm never heard of this one, but there is a damn cool movie from Australia called The Wave, a trippy tale of Aborigines hidden in modern society and predicting disaster.

Haven't seen the movie, have heard of the experiment. Chillingly easy to do.

Well known among those of us who grew up in the 80s. Much discussed in school the days after it was shown on TV.

It was made when I was in 11th grade, maybe that is why I didn't hear of it.
I won't say it is one of those everyone should see.
At times it had a creepiness to it. It could have been done some different ways to get the point across even more, but then it wouldn't be following the actual experiment done by the teacher in 1969.
