That reads a lot like the story of the CA town. I forget the name... "Bell"? that I saw on the news the other day. The mayor of this tiny town had been paying himself $750K a year and his assistant (ie girlfiend) about $500K. The amazing thing is how long it took to find 'em out.

It's starting to look like he may not even be able to count on being re-elected for another term as Sheriff. People are starting to realize just how psychotic he is.

The whole City Council was in on that one. Total annual payroll was 8 million.

They are still under the threat of a possible legal hammer. Their excuses are amazingly
