With most predicting that candidates will spend over 1.5 BIIILLLLIIIOOON dollars for the white house election, this article simply demonstrates why we desperately need election reform. Until the richest 1% STOP getting these/their politicians elected, there's nothing that will be done to stop the ever growing gap between the rich and the poor..

If we voters converse with each other, we can hold fast against this slide into economic fascism. We have one town in California who rejected every single Koch-supported candidate, that was a lovely illustration of the power that we voters still have if we don't give up.
(p.s. it is dangerous how well the Koch Brothers are playing the long view strategy . . . they are gobbling up local elections all across the country where their interests are at stake)
This California town, Richmond, did not want all of those Chevron lackey politicians getting into power. Good for them!

The whole notion of blowing billions on an election is as clear of an indication of a serious problem in this country as we can possibly have, yet people with glazed eyes shrug, "my vote doesn't count" (no, your not vote doesn't count) or "its always been that way".
No. It hasn't.
