Summer is coming right around the corner....but we still have a bit more rain to endure before we get there....
We now offer a new version of our Baywindow Rear Extension "insect screen" extension - we now have models that have full vinyl windows for those rainy days till summer arrives.......then you can use the screened version for the hot nights out camping!
Rear Extension with Insect screens and/or windows designed for Baywindow buses. Hand made individually from durable heavyweight Cordura material with reinforced PVC coated insect screening and/or clear vinyl windows and moonroof, hardboard bottom (with optional cloth cover). Mounts over open rear hatch, magnetically attaches to rear of bus with fabric covered industrial strength ceramic magnets so no paint is scratched, the flat bottom is supported by aircraft cable that hooks to hatch hinges. Easy to install - easy to remove. Folds flat for easy storage. Great ventilation. Stock color steel grey - other colors available by special order. We are working on a design for a self supporting frame to convert this Extension into a full weight-bearing extension of the sleeping area.
All screen model is $350, half screen/half window (your choice of which half is which) is $375, all window version is $400.
We are also working on an additional unit to fully extend the sleeping area (include a foam mattress section) that is completely compatible with the extension screens we offer now.

Here's an update for our Rear Tents.......we now have Rear Bed Extension Platforms too.
Summer is almost over - plan now for camping in cooler/wetter fall weather! Make camping more comfortable and fun with a Rear Tent and one of our new Rear Bed Extension Platforms.
Open the rear hatch, put the Rear Bed Extension Platform on and slip the Rear Tent over it. Adjust the Tent's perimeter magnets to the proper positions and put the mattress in place - you're now ready to go. Once it's bedtime, you can lie in bed with more head and elbow room, look at the stars, while enjoying the cool summer night breezes with no insects! Also, the additional space greatly reduces the claustrophobic feeling if you sleep "head-to-the-rear" of the bus. Both the components are easy to install and remove. The Standard Rear Tent flat bottom can be used for light storage - up to 20 lbs. The new Rear Bed Extension Platform increases the storage capacity to over 200 lbs.
The Rear Tents are custom and handcrafted in Oregon using durable, heavy duty 1000 denier Cordura. Several choices of configuration and colors are available. All models have a standard vinyl moonroof. Windows can be either vinyl or screened, or a combination of both. The unit slips over the open rear hatch and is magnetically attached to the rear of the bus with material-covered industrial strength ceramic magnets so no paint is scratched. Each unit comes complete with cable suspension components and a standard hardwood bottom board that can be upholstered (by us or you). Folds flat for storage. When both the Rear Tent and the Bed Extension Platform are purchased together, we do not include the cable suspension components and the standard boittom board as they are not needed.

Model 1 - (Base Model) - Cordura construction - your choice of color(s), magnetic seals to bus, standard vinyl moonroof, (3) screened windows, bottom board, cable suspension components and setup instructions. This model is great for warm weather summertime camping - $400 Plus shipping.
Model 2 - Cordura construction - your choice of color(s), magnetic seals to bus, standard vinyl moonroof, (3) Vinyl windows, bottom board, cable suspension components and setup instructions. This model is great for spring or fall camping. The vinyl windows keep the wind out while letting the sunshine in. The the inside of the bus stays much warmer - $445 Plus shipping.
Model 3 - Cordura construction - your choice of color(s), magnetic seals to bus, standard vinyl moonroof, (3) Screened windows with Weather/Privacy Flaps, bottom board, cable suspension components and setup instructions. This model is great for all seasons and is the most versatile model we offer - $525 Plus shipping
Standard Bottom Board Upholstery - 1/4" foam board padding with heavy duty upholstery material cover with drawstring. Color complimentary to Tent Color. (Our choice) - $50 plus shipping.
We now offer a Rear Bed Extension Platform that works in concert with our full line of Rear Tents. Easily installs in just minutes. Aluminum diagonal supports hook to rear hatch hinges and detach from the steel platform frame via quick release hitch pins for storage. The platform bears against the rear of the bus and is cushioned with an industrial solid Buna-N rubber bumper to protect the bus paint. The Platform will easily support over 200 lbs. It extends the available sleeping area length by 24” and increases the sleeping area width to a full 48”. The platform is sturdy and very stable. The Platform can also be used as an exterior table when the Rear Tent is not installed. Our Rear Tents slip over the Platform and both can be installed in less than 5 minutes total.
A foam mattress is not included at this time, but may be available as an option soon.
